DUI Expungement in Arizona

Expungement is a way for one to have their criminal conviction permanently removed from record.  Oftentimes, their record is still available to law enforcement, however, it is completely removed from the eyes of the general public and for that matter, virtually doesn’t exist.  Arizona does not have expungements.  They do, however, allow for some convictions to be “set aside” in certain circumstances.  A setting aside of a conviction is not allowed for matters involving motor vehicle violations so a DUI can neither be expunged nor set aside.

The state makes the number of DUI cases accessible to the community through public records.  In addition, the records made available to the general public also provided a record of explanations if the court decided to accept any plea deals or dismissed any charges.
