Administrative Review Hearing in Florida

The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles in Florida is authorized to conduct reviews, formal and informal, upon the driver’s request for the purpose of sustaining, amending or invalidating administrative suspensions and disqualifications. The decision process and conclusions of this department shall not be part of the considering in any trial for a violation of a DUI statute and neither shall a written statement of any kind be submitted by a person in his request for review be admissible into evidence against him in any kind of trial. Whatever happens in related criminal proceedings will not affect a suspension or disqualification of a driver’s license in the state of Florida.
